Following up to his remix for Habstrakt, Asdek returns with a new original titled “Nightmares.” The Parisian house producer pulls influences from bass house and G house to create the dark and wonky soundscapes in “Nightmares.”
On the background of the song, Asdek explains that he started the track “recording some voices with [his] friend Erin in the studio on a Saturday night.” She tested the mic and made a creepy voice about nightmares, which we actually hear in the song today. He loved it so much, that he “built a track around a voice in his nightmares, talking to him, and playing that creepy house music like something out of a horror movie.”
Give “Nightmares” a listen below:
Influenced by everything from UK house to hip-hop, Asdek combines his interests to create his vast and various discography. With a thrilling fusion of bass house and G house, Asdek proves once more that he is a force to be reckoned with, one that’s been going strong since 2012.
