Chicago-based producer ALIGN released his second impressive single “Follow Me” from his forthcoming EP.
Earlier this month, ALIGN revealed the first single entitled “Found” from his debut EP Intertwine, setting the stage with a light but energetic dance instrumental. Today, the rising producer returns with the EP’s second single, “Follow Me“.
“Follow Me” charts an earnestly different course than “Found”, warmly inviting the listener to ALIGN’s more contemplative side. The track’s expressive vocal phrasing and gentle guitar chords repeat throughout, creating a truly euphoric feel. Sparse, yet punchy percussion and dense bass give the track richness and depth, while reverb-drenched melodies and atmospheres subtly fill in any gaps.
With these two tracks out the door, Intertwine is shaping up to be a solidly memorable release, and we can’t wait to hear more. The EP serves as a follow-up to ALIGN’s early successes in 2019, including “Notions,” a recent collaboration with fellow Chicago artist Inzo and Pauline Herr, as well as his under-the-radar single “Over You,” to which “Follow Me” serves as the perfect summery complement.
