What So Not Set to Bring the Bass from Down Under for Latest Tour with graves

With a unique take on sound design incorporating elements of trap, future bass, and hip-hop, What So Not shows are known for being full of heavy drops and emotional interludes.

What So Not (Emoh Instead)  has been on the radar of all bass music fanatics since his debut on the OWSLA label in 2015 and he’s continued to impress with his most recent release, “Be Ok Again”.

“Be Ok Again” is a collaborative piece between What So Not and Silverchair’s Daniel Johns. This ethereal single pulls listeners into a fantasy-like setting between reality and magic. Here’s a quote from What So Not on his feelings about the track:

“‘Be Ok Again’ is a really personal track for me. Daniel’s encouragement pushed beyond anywhere I’ve gone before creatively. I’m excited to share this with you today & everything in store for 2018.”

As the bass music scene has taken off in America and Australia over the last decade; What So Not evolved his sound to stay on the forefront of production and dance music. Originally a duo with popular Aussie producer Flume, Emoh has forged ahead with his own sound while keeping with a similar vibe to his former partner. But both artists have taken their music in new and unique directions since their part in 2015.

A far cry from the mainstream, even the most radio-ready tracks from both producers have a unique quality that separates them from the mundane. Not shy to collaboration, What so not has an impressive list of features on his tracks including George Maple, Rome Fortune, JOY, and Kimbra.

What So Not’s tour starts strong with stops in Los Angeles (Dec 27), Houston (Dec 28), and New Orleans (Dec 29). Then followed by several festival stops including Lollapalooza in South America and Ultra Music Festival in Miami. With support from future bass veteran graves on his club stops; this will be one only a privileged few get to experience.
