Under The Current: 10 New Tracks You Missed This Week

New music shouldn’t just be delivered to you on Fridays.

That’s why we’re here with a mid-week dose of some of the best new music you haven’t heard.

Check out our favorite new tracks from the past week, and stream the entire playlist below.

Egzod – Lone Wolf ft. Waisu

An awe-inspiring beat from Egzod that entangles a punk rock feel, into a care-free, bass-heavy drop. The new single features multi-styled artist Wasiu. Out on Lowly Palace now!

Manatee Commune – Growing Pains

We’re reached the fifth and final single from Manatee Commune’s upcoming PDA LP and it puts his diversity as a producer on full display. The somber yet ethereal guitar-driven collaboration with Samuel Eisen-Meyers is a beautiful, relatable song.

“Growing Pains is a song about exploring life in your mid 20s. We are told we are supposed to have everything figured out by then, but this often is not the case. In the last year I’ve come to realize that I am doing exactly what I should be doing. Feeling the pains of growth is a sign of growth and every battle won is a step forward in the right direction. As long as you are doing what you love, you are on the right path..Manatee Commune

Lipless x Mahalo – Falling (ft. Carly Paige)

“Faliing” is summer music at it’s finest. Lipless joins forces with Haiwaian producer Mahalo to bring you a smooth sun-soaked beat with vocalist Carly Paige lacing the track with her saccharine pop vocals.

ATLiens & Blanke – Contact

“Contact” is a hard-hitting collaboration between bass heavyweights ATLiens and Blanke. It’s a dark, menacing assault on the senses, and it allows both artists’ signature styles to shine through.

FETISH – Nothin’ But Mammals

One of Confession‘s newest artists, FETISH blend their deep, dark house production with samples that sound straight out of a nature documentary to create an animalistic soundscape.

“Every one of our originals will be focused on creating a visual and emotional experience for our listeners. On Nothin’ But Mammals, we spent a lot of time designing some of the bass fills to sound like a “whooping” gorilla and incorporating the dialogue about the silverback to help produce that powerful, primal energy this song embodies” – FETISH

Nervo – Habit (Mielo Remix)

Getting asked to remix a track from one of your idols is just a dream for most producers, but for Chicago-based Mielo it’s a reality he takes full advantage of, transforming NERVO’s infectious track into whirlwind of synths.

“It was really cool getting asked to do a remix for Nervo. They were one of the first names I heard about when I was just getting into EDM in high school. This remix is a fun break from all of the serious music I’ve been putting out this year!”Mielo

Jessica Audiffred – Like What The F

Honeycomb – What’s Inside My Head

The Human beatboxer, aka Honeycomb, just delivered one of the most unique LP’s of the year. Featuring all vocals from Honeycomb himself, the 8 track EP ranges from Hip Hop, house, Dnb, to dubstep. This is the first piece of recorded beatbox material that Honeycomb has released in album form. Dive into this unique Ep below!

Moon Boots – Keramas

With “Keramas” Brooklyn-based producer Moon Boots uses field recordings he made of traditional Hindu singers on Keramas beach in Bali and seamlessly threads it with percussion and bells. It’s a song that is as exotic as it is evocative.

Bobby Love – Why (ft Olive B)

What began as an unused verse from Bobby’s and Olive’s previous collaboration “New Love” back in February has now blossomed into a beautiful new track.

I’ve always loved the lyrics and performance of Olive B‘s voice on that verse in particular, so I decided to build a new song entirely around them. There’s a certain emotion in what she’s trying to say that I felt needed to be brought to life. I played the guitar chords around that idea and the rest of the song sort of fell into place. I’ve recently been obsessed with trying to capture an organic sound while still being electronic and familiar with my previous releases. I feel this song really captures that.” –  Bobby Love.

These are just a few of the songs in the newest update to Freshly Picked Beats. Be sure to check out the Spotify playlist in its entirety below.
