The Rage Against the Machine & Audioslave guitarist teamed up with three other icons in their respective genres to make a statement against police brutality.
“Rabbit Hole” is a track composed by a dream team of artist-advocates that blur the lines among genres. All four artists are advocates who frequently politicize their art.
The two verses come courtesy of Outkast‘s Big Boi and Run The Jewels‘ Killer Mike. They mention the deaths of Tamir Rice, Trayvon Martin, and Mike Brown and encourage retaliation against institutionalized racism.
Morello, Bassnectar and Big Boi took to Twitter to discuss institutionalized racism, social conversation, and the track.
After we recorded the record there would be a police killing every week , I would call @tmorello like man let’s drop this shit ! #RabbitsRevenge RT @TheSouthPa: @BigBoi And it's still happening today but from the music being released you wouldn't know it.

There’s obviously no accountability in the courts. This song asks the question where that accountability resides if these murders continue. #RabbitsRevenge https://t.co/dsRmE13jam

we worked for years on this, but the basic riff/jam came out live mashing it up together in tom's studio in proper headbanger style 🙂 then lots of back & forth with vocals & production since…2014? @tmorello #RabbitsRevenge https://t.co/KcIj3wMxCw
