K. Flay Comes to Slay At SlossFest in Birmingham

After her breakout with Louis The Child, K. Flay is making a mark of her own on the festival circuit. With consistent tour dates throughout the next year, K. Flay has several major festivals on her calendar–Firefly, Outside Lands, Hurricane Festival, Forecastle, and Sloss Music & Arts Festival. The “Its Strange” vocalist released her full LP, Every Where Is Somewhere, back in April 2017.

Gearing up for SlossFest in Birmingham, Alabama, we’d like to shine the spotlight on K. Flay in order to illuminate the story behind this incredible talent.

When she’s done with festivals, K. Flay will be hitting the road as an opening act for Imagine Dragons. Her latest hit, “High Enough” is completely reminiscent of this era of powerful female musicians like Meg Mac, Sigrid, and Melanie Martinez.

You may only know a handful of songs from K. Flay now, but this vocalist has slowly released an onslaught of hit songs throughout her career.

Her own hit single, called FML, has been remixed by the best of the best electronic producers. The likes of Vanic, Lincoln Jesser, Phonat, and SMLE have all taken liberties with “FML.” And, each version is better than the last. On this track, K. Flay manages to provide a unique backdrop that also allows artists to seamlessly incorporate to augment the stunning original into each rendition.

She has made a career out of lending her vocal abilities to talented producers across electronic sub-genres. Two years ago, she released “Telescope” with Golden Features and “The Cops” with Vanic. Following it up, last year, K. Flay collaborated with the legendary Kaskade for “Promise.”

Her reputation as a vocalist speaks for itself, but now it’s time to see what K. Flay brings to her live performances. If you’re yet to see her live for yourself, make a point of venturing out to a festival performance of hers this summer. In just a few weeks, she will be journeying to Alabama for SlossFest. Tickets are still available for SlossFest here.

If you’re looking for a good adventure this July, then come join us in Birmingham for this fantastic local festival.
