2019 is the year of Gesaffelstein! We were previously gifted with the announcement of a new album, his first since 2013, called Hyperion, and now it looks like we’re going to get a full-on collab with The Weeknd.
Gesaffelstein teased a trailer on his youtube channel today featuring himself and The Weeknd sitting back to back in recliner chairs. The video features some ominous piano sounds and then cuts out after only 11 seconds.
The two have actually worked together in the past, as Gesaffelstein was featured on The Weeknd’s 2018 EP MY DEAR MELANCHOLY. The track in question is titled “Lost In The Fire” and could possibly be the first single released of Hyperion. Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
